Polyrhythmic Feedback Delay with Character

Own Newfangled Audio or Eventide plug-ins? Get Loyalty Discount

Recirculate isn't just a delay plugin; it's the distilled essence of what a feedback echo should be. By stripping away the baggage and focusing on the sound and control we’ve created the perfect tool for adding depth and dimension to your mixes.

New Rhythmic Options

A feedback delay can add rhythmic spice to your production, but the options are on-beat, or off-beat. Recirculate fixes this by adding control over the all important first echo. Set a downbeat echo with dotted repeats for a subtle shuffle feel. Or an eighth note first echo with quarter note repeats for a straight echo on the upbeats. It sounds simple, but it’s an incredibly powerful rhythmic tool.

Control What You Hear

Many delay plug-ins attempt to recreate specific technologies. Recirculate focuses instead on controls you can hear. Dial in filters, drive, compression, and reverb right from the front panel. Does it sound just like a piece of gear from 1963? Who cares, it sounds like you.

Sits In Your Mix

Modern productions can be pretty full. Delay and reverb are important tools for adding glue and a sense of space, but it can be hard to fit them into a dense mix. Recirculate adds features like a transient control, ducking, gating, and powerful filtering to add depth and dimension to your mix without taking up too much space.

Heaps of Character:

The brilliant thing about a feedback delay is that the character gets applied over and over with each repeat. Recirculate has 7 overdrive character options, 4 noise options, a compressor, modulation, granular delay, and a reverb that goes from slightly diffuse to epic, all of which get applied to each repeat. Again, and again. For Brando levels of character.

Excellent delay !

Recirculate is a wonderful delay plugin. It's transient, saturation, and distortion processors are exactly what I would normally would use in combination with a delay, and thus are very handy. High quality too. Saves a ton of FX chain building hassle. The option to have different feedback settings for channels is fabulous ! Every delay should have that, it makes it possible to have a nicely balanced feeling between left and right, without things pulling to the longer side, as they always do with equal feedback. This plugin is perfectly suited to anything from simple tasteful delays to crazy-as-you-want creative stuff. That it eats CPU cycles somewhat enthusiastically ? Well, can say it doesn't work for those ! I would recommend Recirculate to anyone looking for a delay plugin without hesitation.

Great Tool For Delay Games

By that I don't mean spacey delays. There's that, too, but...Using this for traditional delay is a waste. I think I have used the filter and granulizer the most. Say you have a drum loop and all you want to do is make the hats dance a little and leave everything else alone. Or dance a lot. Or ghost the kick. And the things you can get into with the Spread and Spray controls...Take a snare or clap into totally new territory. Tighten it up and it sounds like it's ripping down the center. Spread it out and it's like someone hit a snare with glitter on top and filmed it in slo-mo. Things you wish a ring modulator did. As for delays and verbs and all that, yeah they're in there but I find myself using Eventide products beyond their name insuation. Delay? Nah. Sonic mangling that's still useful? Yes. If you really want to hurt your feelings with a "delay" pick up Octavox when it goes on sale. Never believe what Eventide tells you it is, because it's always more. Way more. Wait...is that a set of Mixolydian temple bells bouncing off Jupiter and dissolving...

Great Plugin

Endless possibilities…. Pristine effect, intuitive… I particularly like the behavior menu and also the cross effect of wet to dry signal capabilities.

Delay review

Really nice sounding delay with lots of adjustments, eventide know a thing or two about delay and reverb and it shows.

Very creative and inspirational!

I love the Recirculate "tool" from Eventide cause it such a versetile and creative thing to use within your music productions. Transforming, shaping, creating it is so much fun and well worth the purchase!

Almost like having a new musical instrument, way more than another delay

Advanced but very intuitive Delay

Recirculate offers the perfect balance of simplicity and creativity. Its quick setup and intuitive design allow for immediate use, without sacrificing the flexibility or artistic potential we’ve come to expect in products from this developer. The variety of behavior modes adds a unique character to each setting, and the ability to adjust how the plugin interacts with transients gives it a distinct edge over other delay plugins.

For me, there are two features that would elevate Recirculate to the next level:

1. Modulation of Parameters:
Similar to how it’s implemented in Generate, having modulation options like LFOs would be incredibly useful. A modulation panel could appear in place of the repeats visualization, allowing users to quickly assign LFOs to any parameter.

2. Reverse Mode:
If Recirculate had a reverse mode and the ability to modulate parameters, I could create sounds reminiscent of Cosmos by Soma. That would make Recirculate my dream delay plugin!

That said, this is already an amazing product, and I’m thrilled to own it. Keep up the great work! Peace to all!

Horrible Performance

The Plugin itself sounds beautiful, but the performance is beyond horrible: Recirculate devours my processing power: a single instance alone can consume alone more processing capabilities as my entire project composed of 5-8 instances of virtual synths, each with external reverbs/delays/dynamics/saturation (Melda Productions MTurboReverbMB/MTurboDelay, BlackHole Inmersive plus diverse compressors/duckers/EQs) + Master Limiter/Compressor/StereoProcessor.

I repeat, a single delay insert/send from Recirculate consumes more power than 5-6 Instances from Virtual Synths with their insert Fx'. A single Delay!!!

Until now I've bought almost every Plugin from Newfangled Audio almost religiously: I use Saturate, Generate a lot of the time but this? This is just plain wrong. Something with this horrifying performance is not release ready, not at all. This should left in the oven for longer till the performance was brought to production ready levels

Like I said the delay sounds beautiful, but a plugin delay should be first and foremost efficient and almost invisible in terms of resources hit: that's the ideal, that's what we should strive for. As it stands I would recommend anyone to avoid this product and look for similar and optimized products which don't force you to bounce back every track to audio because they are draining your computer. Therefore I have to give this plugin a 1 star rating: no matter how good it sounds, the performance alone makes this plugin unusable for me.

Very disappointing, Newfangled and Eventide: I've come to expect way better from you.

Fantastic delay!

I must admit I was a bit skeptical of yet another delay / reverb plugin - but this one lives up to the claims. I really like the flexibilty of being able to set the level as well as the timing of the delay repeats. I've already used it on my latest mixes and plan to use it extensively in the future. Thanks for an excellent product!
